As an inventor, Prof. D’Andrea explores the capabilities of autonomous systems combining the academics, business and the art. His company Kiva Systems was sold to Amazon for 775M USD and his creations have been exhibited in various international venues.
Additionally, Kaspar Etter, graduate of ETH Zurich in Computer Science and former president of the ETH Entrepreneur Club, will talk about the ethical implications of autonomous systems and advanced artificial intelligence. Besides starting his own company, he’s involved with the humanist think tank GBS Switzerland, which also brought him in close contact with researchers of the Future of Humanity Institute at the University of Oxford and the Machine Intelligence Research Institute in Berkeley.
